Well I can hardly believe it this is my 100th post! The last 4 months have been such a blessing in my life.It all started through stumbling across Toni on eBay.Her about me page led to Simple Sparrow and also the home of the Vintage Housekeeper Alison.I lurked about for ages and just soaked up all the lovely eyecandy and inspiration. Then I think it was this post that finally made me take the plunge. What better reason to blog than as a journal for my four girls.A place to record all the significant and ,more so ,the not so significant happenings as we all grow together.
I had know idea whether anyone would be interested in my ramblings or not and it still amazes me when I get such lovely comments.Another thing that amazes me is the sense of community this lovely world brings. It has completely re-inforced my belief that in general people are kind.As a family we have been blessed beyond our wildest dreams and my girls and I are growing with a generous spirit.I must admit I think I have become addicted to swaps. They just combine 2 of my favourite things giving and receiving!I have a Flickr set devoted to all my lovely swap partners as a kind of public thank-you.
I have always loved ribbons and trims but until recently I didn't realise just how much!Imagine how estatic I was to receive my trim swap parcel from Laura
She even included some of her gorgeous buttons!!
I really have been in too many swaps to include in one post but will do seperate thank-you posts for those I haven't already I promise!
Another blessing has been the world of Etsy.I love being able to buy handmade treasures of good quality that nobody else I know will have!We have masses of empty walls to fill as I can never bring myself to buy 'off the peg' artwork. Now I have a huge backlog of beautiful prints waiting to be framed.Like this little lady from the lovely Emily
We are also lucky enough to own three girl and tree themed prints to hang in the little girls bedroom so that they can see great artwork everyday. They even have some great, handmade and original toys like this
I was lucky enough to receive one of Autums Pay It Forward pincushions. That led to the idea of collecting them from my blogging and Flickr friends. With some of my birthday money I bought this beautiful one from Toni.
I am sure I must have at least 100 reason why I am thankful for this beautiful community but this post is already long enough!
Just like the lovely Manda who also shares her 100th post today I will be offering little thank-yous to todays commentors!
