I look forward to friday morning every week. It's the morning my friends know I will always be in and the kettle will be on.This tradition started over 7 years ago when Maisie was a baby. Some friends and I from my family church decided a week was just too long to wait to meet again so I invited them to mine.It was so nice I offered again, and again, and again..well you get it!Lots of things have happened since then.People have left and new ones joined, babies have been born and others started school(including mine!)We nearly all attend different churches and some none.Although the dynamics of the group has changed often through the years the fellowship has remained the same.I feel overwhelming blessed to have such a solid base of friends.I know that anyone of those girls would be at my side within a heartbeat if I needed and I with them.Sometimes there are as many as 10, plus little ones ,other times it's just me and one other.Every week I learn something new about them and myself. We have seen and helped each other grow both spiritually and as people. We are a mixed bunch all with varying tastes in every aspect of life yet somehow we work well together. We share thoughts, hopes and even prayers.Every week we take turns to choose a piece of scripture that has inspired us.
This week Karen chose Ephesians 5v15 Live life with a due sense of responsibilty, not as those who do not know the meaning of life but as those who do.
I hope that this may inspire you this week whether you have a living faith of your own or not.
